MEET THE FAKE KATIE PRICE

Copyright: ITV

What a heck is the matter with Nathan Thursfield (pictured left above), a twenty-year-old guy who’s spent a whopping £40,000 to look like Katie Price (pictured centre), a British television personality. There is no problem having public figures whom one respects but there’s real problem when one allows his own identity to be thrown away just because of an outrageous desire to replicate an envied personality. Nathan has spent a great deal of time working on his new look, having botox, fillers, fake tans, facials, and even two cosmetic procedures. His actions have plunged him in a £20,000 debt yet he shows determination to continue working on his facial look until he achieves a 100% Katie Price look.

When I examined his new look and Katie Price’s I don’t see any sense in his action. The difference is even clear to a blind man. Moreover, if Nathan spends £1,000,000 on his look he can’t look Katie Price because there can only be one Katie Price. You were perfectly crafted by God so trying to be someone else is simply a mockery of God’s design. What Nathan Thursfield is telling God is that God made a mistake creating him. We all are unique! Let’s just assume Nathan finally gets a perfect Katie Price face probably after incurring more debts. Will his finger print and that of Katie Price be the same?

I’ve seen quite a number of persons invest their time, energy and money pursuing a design that was never God’s. The bad news is that such persons always hit the rock. They soon see life as well as everyone around them as unfair. Whenever you set a goal that is fully orchestrated by you and outside God’s plan for your life you’re just trying to do what Nathan did. Such an adventure always brews where there is no vision. Remember that where there is no vision people perish (Proverbs 29:18).The aftermath of actions similar to Nathan’s is pain. This has gradually begun to show up in his incurring a £20,000 debt. Appreciate the works of celebrities, get mentored by them but never try to be them. There can never be two YOUs. God’s wonderfully created YOU so don’t step low as a duplicate.
