Kidnapped children regain freedom
On Wednesday the Orekoya children were seen at the Police College Hospital, Ikeja were they underwent treatment after their captors released them.
According to their father, Leke: “The children were put in bags. It is not the work of the SSS, the military or police. It was God and I am grateful to him.”
“For the eight days that the children were taken away, we did not rest. But yesterday (Tuesday), they called us and said we should send the money to them. They sent their account number to us. Immediately they collected the money, they called us and said they had dropped the children at Egbeda.”
It was learnt that while their mother showed her to her co-workers her new nanny(Ms. Akinloye) a day after she employed the nanny, the Closed Circuit Television cameras in her office got her image.
The state police spokesperson, Kenneth Nwosu, said the police were on the trail of the kidnappers, adding that the victims were rescued around 9pm in the Shasha area of Lagos.
