NIGERIANS KEEP RECEIVING MYSTERIOUS PHONE CALLS!

 

The political climate of Nigeria is fully charged as the country prepares for the March 28 Presidential election. This election appears really critical to every Nigerian because the fate of  the nation as well as that of every Nigerian home and abroad will be greatly determined by who gets into Aso Rock, the seat of power in the country.There is no doubt that politicians in the country suddenly turn into philanthropists whenever an election draws near, but something unusual is happening this time!

Barely a week ago Mudiagha, a Nigerian woke in the morning and found his phone ringing.He’s been a struggling university graduate with a very lean bank account trying to keep body and soul together.His source of livelihood largely depends on the quality of calls he receives from potential clients; thus whenever his phone rings he grabs it  speedily.In a spirit of optimism, he reached for his phone. What he heard was the voice of a lady.

“Good morning I’m calling from Forward Naija have you collected your PVC?”

Without much thought Mudiagha knew the game plan: a call from a PDP agent. The PDP has had a tenacious hold on power since 1999 and most Nigerians appear to call for a CHANGE.

“How on earth can you call without letting me know what Forward Naija is about?”,roared Mudiagha.

“OK Forward Naija…..is….works together with INEC”

Mudiagha knew this was a lie and questioned her using a cerebral tone.

“Em…Forward Naija is in support for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan”.

Hell was let losed after she let her cat out of her bag. Frustrated Mudiagha lambasted the girl until she appeared completely dumb.This is a trend that politicians have adopted.Nigerians keep asking why have these politicians recognized their worth that they now call them after years of neglect.
