Goodswill Akpabio |
He is a die-hard supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan. Before the March 28 presidential election he promised President Jonathan that PDP's victory in Akwa-Ibom was sure. After the PDP's defeat he still showed his support by moving to the Presidential Villa alongside some PDP governors. He didn't act like Gov. Ayo Fayose who gave a controversial 'congratulation' to Nigeria's Presiden-elect, Maj. Gen. Buhari (retd.) and now even calls President Jonathan 'That stupid President'. His strong indication of standing as an opposition to the Buhari's administration came when he recently refused the APC the use of the Uyo township stadium for hosting the President-elect. The letter denying the APC the use of the stadium was gotten from the state's Ministry of Youth & Sports, dated April 7 with Ref. No. MYS/AD/146/VOL./1/142. The letter was signed by Mr. Edem.

Bode George |
Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George got the shock of his life when Prof. Jega declared Maj. Gen. Buhari winner of the March 28 presidential polls. George had said in an interview that he would proceed on exile if the APC wins at the federal level.
“What will I be doing here? I can decide to go and live anywhere. Look at everyone surrounding him (Buhari).
”So, I am not joking about it, what will I be doing here? At 70, what will I be doing here? All we have been doing to restructure the country has been lost. We have been trying to ensure balance in the polity but all that has gone. What else will I be doing here?”

Asari-Dokubo |
Ex-militant, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, who threatened to unleash violence on the country if President Goodluck Jonathan lost his re-election bid. He recently threatened a return “to the creeks” and accused the Yoruba and Hausa of working against Igbo and Niger Deltans.
Asari Dokubo said the election of Muhammadu Buhari as president “is a clear indication that the country is not united” and accused the Yoruba and Hausa of collaborating to frustrate Jonathan, who hails from the Niger Delta region.

Edwin Clark |
A well known critic who stood solidly behind President Jonathan. His usual censure may hit the Buhari administration. He recently condemned Barak Obama for presenting Professor Attahiru Jega a "Certificate of Commendation".
"I was surprised that Barak Obama gave Professor Attahiru Jega an award when the elections are still on".

Femi Fani-Kayode |
There was virtually nothing that the
Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party, Femi Fani-Kayode did not say to weaken the hopes Nigerians had for Buhari. During that period his Twitter page was always 'busy'. But now that same page appears resting or warming up for criticisms on the Buhari's administration. However, he has still been vocal by throwing some remarks on issues dealing with the APC.
|
Reuben Abati |
Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati has always been at the forefront in using his good offices to lambast any group or individual against his boss. He flaunts an ambivalent personality because when he was a newspaper columnist he wrote strongly against those he now supports.

Adamu Mu'azu |
People's Democratic Party Chairman, Adamu Mu'azu appeared not satisfied with Jega's declaration of Buhari as the winner of the March 28 polls and threatened that his party will challenge the victory at the tribunal.

Patience Jonathan |
She is yet to recover from the shock of Buhari's victory. This unusual shock made her for quite a number of days not visible to the public. She was virtually the chief campaign officer of her husband and said words concerning Maj. Gen. Buhari the appalled Nigerians one of which was calling Buhari "brain dead". Femi Fani-Kayode supported her when she made this insult.
"The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan was absolutely right. To say that General Buhari is brain dead is an understatement and to suggest that he is suffering from dementia is nothing new".
Patience Jonathan has again began giving signals of her opposition when she went to Rivers State for a PDP campaign.
