Historic US-Cuba Meeting
Presidents Barack Obama and Raúl Castro of the US and Cuba respectively had face-to-face meeting of U.S. and Cuban leaders in 50 years. The historic meeting was at the seventh Summit of the Americas, which Cuba was attending for the first time.
After the meeting President Obama said "Our governments will continue to have differences". There's need to ease tensions between the U.S. and Cuba because Cuba is on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terror. According to Castro Obama should not be held responsible for the poor relationship the two countries suffers. He attributed the source of the problem to the misdeeds of past US leaders. He was positive about Obama's personality and described him as 'an honest man'. Despite the long complicated history between the two countries, Castro said "we are willing to discuss everything, but we need to be patient—very patient."
