Teen Dies After Police-Involved Shooting In Zion

17 year-old Justus Howell shot twice by a Zion police officer Saturday has been reported dead. One bullet penetrated his heart, spleen and liver, and the other entered his right shoulder. In a statement released by Zion police the shooting occurred after they responded to a caller who reported hearing a single gunshot during "an argument or fight" on Gilead Avenue at about 2 p.m. Howell was a high school junior who transferred in February from a school in Wisconsin into Waukegan School District 60.
