Tiger opens Masters with bogey in comeback quest
After a two-month layoff Tiger Woods opened with a bogey Thursday in the first round of the 79th Masters. The American professional golfer fired his first tee shot into trees right of the fairway, then blasted onto the green but missed a five-foot par putt.
Woods revered as former world number one has slid to 111th in the rankings. The back surgery he had last year forced him to miss the Masters for the first time in 20 years.
