DON'T PURSUE SUCCESS PURSUE VALUE

Danniella Westbrook, a once revered actress has dazed several persons after she took a job as a barmaid in a North London pub in a bid to get back on her feet. Her decision was a move to end her financial woes. She admitted last year that 2013 had been the "worst year" of her life after  break-up with her boyfriend, Tom Richards which eventually made her homeless. Indeed, this is a fall from grace, but  how can the former BBC EastEnders star turn to a waif and now serve as barmaid?

I have carefully observed her story and discovered that she pursued success instead of value. An evidence was when Danniella was using Tom's phone and a text message came through that she did not like the look of and she wanted to know who sent it. This event brought a schism between them. She was later plunged into assaults from Tom. When you pursue success without a sense of value your success is bound to be cut short. In fact, value is what gives sense to success; it’s the life-sustainer of any success. Everybody pursues success, but very few pursue value. There’s one little secret that I’ve learned: success comes faster when you put value first.

A top business owner in my neighbourhood is currently facing a threat of bankruptcy. The business at a certain time had money flowing in from different clients. During that period the said business owner disparaged the worth of most clients. All that the business got interested in was how to suck funds from clients. What got wrong was the loss value; today those disparaged clients are now being begged by the organization.

Success is sweet, but a fall from it can make you heartbroken for life. It is one thing to achieve success and another to sustain it. What you need to sustain success is value. The moment one loses his sense of value he begins to see how  success  slips away from people’s hand. WARNING don’t get carried away pursuing success rather devote your time pursuing value.

 

 

 

GOD'S GOT A TIMETABLE

Did you know it took Leonardo Da Vinci 10 years to paint the Mona Lisa? Today that painting is not only a masterpiece but credited as  "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world". Good things sometimes come cheaply, but great things don’t. So the choice is yours: the good or the great.

One thing we must understand is that there is always a price to pay for great things to come our way. Although from the beginning the future may look bleak, but as long as you remain on the right track, something phenomenal will surely hit you. The major challenge that people generally face is time. People just want to see things done speedily. Remember the hackneyed paradoxical statement: “More haste, less speed”. There is a strong atmosphere of pressure around most persons now that the first quarter of the year is gradually coming to an end. There appear to be new crafted ways to fast track the blessings of 2015. Yes, one may get some measure of result, but not to the degree that God has planned. Perhaps you’ve been doing a particular job for donkey years and want your dream job. You’ve made countless calls and show an unusual desperation to quit your present job .Indeed, your intention is a good one, but know that God has got a timetable for you. An attempt to design yours will mean working outside God’s plan. Consequently, you get frustrated doing the new job.

Understand that time is a non-renewable resource. The reason why you may not have hit it big in your business, career, relationship or education could the microwaved attention you’ve devoted to preparing for great breakthroughs. Some authors can write a book in less than 12 hours, but there are books written for years. Guess what? When published they become bestsellers. The year is still young so learn to understand God’s timing for your life. The blessing you desire now may have been programmed by God to manifest on the last day of the year. God isn’t late! He’s just got a timetable.
