Emmanuel Sithole a Mozambican who bled to death in Johannesburg. South Africa is one of the recent victims of the barbaric and repulsive xenophobic violence in South Africa. His death came as a result of a direct stab wound to his heart .

Xenophobia:Kenya To Fly Out Citizens In S'Africa

Amina Mohamed, kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs has revealed plans to airlift its citizens domiciled in South Africa because of the great threat to the lives of all foreigners since the fresh xenophobic attacks went viral.

 

Many foreign owned business firms in Johannesburg’s downtown area have reportedly shut this week amid the fears, with the police maintaining a heavy presence in the city.

Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa

South Africa is well known as a country with high incidence of xenophobia. The lives of more than  800,000 Nigerians living in South Africa is currently threatened by this ugly trend. Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, president of the Nigerian Union in South Africa  on Wednesday urged the Nigerian government to take quick measures to curb the life-threatening development.

According to him most Nigerians in South African cities have gone into hiding to avoid being attacked by South Africans.

" The Nigerian government should urgently intervene and save our people from the attacks.

"They should prevail on the South African government to stop such attacks against Nigerians.

“ It appears nothing is being is done to stop the attacks and Nigerians are worried about the situation".
