Osinbajo Promises Teachers Free Tertiary Progrmmes
Nigeria's Vice President-elect, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has promised that his administration will priority to providing quality training to teachers. This will generally give them access to free tertiary training programmes. He noted this while addressing a gathering of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) on Wednesday in Lagos.
"One of the basic problems that we have is the fact that we have not continued with education for teachers--teachers training in particular. That is why this consultation is very important. It is only the beginning of the consultations that I intend to have.
"In our manifesto, one thing that is very clear is that we are going to spend a lot of time and resources on education, especially public education."
